John is the Director of Valuations, Commercial for Herron Todd White (RQ). Prior to this, John was National Director, Commercial & Rural for Herron Todd White (Australia) from July 2015 to September 2016. This role involved the oversight of the commercial and rural operations, including the quality program; policy development; development of systems and processes; national commercial client liaison; rollout of new commercial programs and initiatives; mentoring and advice to commercial directors and valuers; negotiation on fee scales and panel valuation agreements.

From mid 2012 to mid 2015, John worked across Queensland for Herron Todd White (Central Queensland) as a Senior Valuer specialising in all aspects of commercial, residential development and going concerns. Previously, John worked for CBRE as a Senior Director and National Director - Quality Assurance for all Residential Development projects across Australia from July 2006 to June 2012. He was a co-owner and Director of the Rafter & O’Hagan valuation practice which commenced operation in 1991 before merging with CB Richard Ellis in July 2006. J

ohn has been a Registered Valuer since December 1988 and has extensive knowledge and experience in all commercial asset classes and specialised valuations such as: Hotels and Taverns, Motels, Caravan parks, Workers Accommodation Villages, Service Stations, Marinas, Fair Value Assessments .

He has extensive experience in resumption matters and providing specialist advice. He is a Specialist Retail Valuer and has undetaken determinations on appointments from the Queensland Law Society.
