At Herron Todd White, quality assurance is more than a process, it’s our promise. It ensures every valuation and advisory service we deliver is accurate, consistent, and trustworthy.
We’re proud to welcome Alan Richard as our new Head of Quality Assurance. His appointment strengthens our commitment to excellence across every aspect of our business.
A Career Built on Quality and Leadership
Alan brings more than 20 years of experience in valuation, property risk, and banking. Before joining HTW, he led the Property Risk team within St George and Westpac Business Bank. There, he managed national policy, supplier contracts, and the Commercial Valuation Panel.
Earlier in his career, Alan worked as a Director at CBRE. This gave him strong practical experience in property valuation and governance.
Alan is also a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute and serves on its admissions interviewing panel. He holds a degree in Property Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Property Investment and Finance.
Leading a National Approach to Quality Assurance
In his new role, Alan will lead HTW’s national QA function. He will bring together our state-based processes into a single approach across both Residential and Commercial, Agribusiness & Government divisions.
This shift will help us work more efficiently, improve communication, and strengthen our focus on excellence. It also ensures our QA framework remains consistent across Australia.
“I’m excited to bring the various QA teams together nationally and roll out the ‘One Way’ QA processes,” Alan said. “Quality is our number one priority, it ensures our clients and their clients receive the best possible outcomes.”
Alan’s deep knowledge of quality assurance and property risk management will help HTW deliver stronger, more reliable outcomes for our clients.
Building Confidence Through Consistency
As Australia’s largest independent property valuation and advisory firm, our reputation depends on trust. Quality assurance protects that trust by ensuring every report and valuation meets the highest standards.
Alan’s leadership will help us keep raising the bar. With his guidance, we’ll continue improving our systems, processes, and collaboration across all divisions.
This appointment marks another step forward in building a truly national QA framework that supports accuracy, transparency, and confidence — for our clients and their clients alike.
