Herron Todd White (HTW) is proud to drive innovation in the valuation industry, playing a key role in the Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) trial for existing homes. In collaboration with CSIRO, ING, the Australian Government, and Efficient Living, this initiative is a significant step forward in Australia’s push towards a more sustainable future.
Improving energy efficiency is critical to reducing emissions, lowering household energy costs, and enhancing living conditions in Australia’s 9 million existing homes. This trial streamlines the assessment process by combining energy ratings property inspections with property valuations, utilising the existing expertise of Valuers.
For homeowners, this means gaining a clearer understanding of their home’s energy performance, receiving practical insights on reducing energy use and improving comfort, and, having knowledge of green loans to fund sustainable upgrades.
HTW is one of only two valuation firms selected for the first NatHERS pilot in 2024. Due to its success, we are now moving into Phase Two. This expansion highlights our commitment to sustainability, industry leadership, and delivering value to our clients and their customers.
As we continue our involvement in the NatHERS trial, HTW remains committed to leading innovation in property services and shaping the future of home energy assessments. We look forward to working closely with our clients, industry partners, and homeowners, helping shape a more energy-efficient and sustainable future for all Australians.
Stay tuned for updates as we move forward with this exciting initiative.
