Herron Todd White, Australia’s leading independent valuation, property intelligence, assurance and advisory group, has announced the acquisition of Mitchell Brandtman, a specialist national quantity surveying and construction advisory firm.
The acquisition marks Herron Todd White’s entry into the quantity surveying and development advisory market and expands the Group’s national capability across the property lifecycle.
Herron Todd White Chief Executive Officer Peter Maloney said the acquisition further strengthens HTW’s position as Australia’s leading independent property valuation business while expanding its capability into new markets.
“Mitchell Brandtman has built an outstanding reputation over more than 55 years, delivering specialist quantity surveying and construction advisory services to financial institutions, developers, government, insurers, legal professionals and corporate clients,” Mr Maloney said.
“The acquisition adds an important new pillar to the Herron Todd White Group, bringing national quantity surveying, construction and development consulting expertise alongside our established valuation, assurance and advisory capabilities.
“It broadens our services and diversifies our customer base, while significantly expanding the ways we can support clients across the property lifecycle.
“Together, HTW and Mitchell Brandtman can support lenders, developers, investors, government agencies, institutional capital and corporate Australia from acquisition and financing through development, construction, ownership and asset management.”
Mitchell Brandtman’s specialist capabilities span cost planning, financier quantity surveying, infrastructure, tax depreciation, asset management and construction advisory. These complement HTW’s national residential, commercial, agribusiness, government and institutional valuation, assurance, data and advisory capabilities.
Mitchell Brandtman Managing Director Michael Ivey said joining HTW represented an exciting new chapter for the business, its people and clients.
“HTW shares our commitment to independence, technical excellence, innovation and client-first service,” Mr Ivey said.
“Joining the HTW Group gives Mitchell Brandtman the opportunity to build on more than 55 years of success, supported by greater national scale, broader property expertise and increased investment in data and technology.
“For our clients, it means the same Mitchell Brandtman people, specialist expertise and trusted service, now backed by the broader capability and national reach of the HTW Group.”
Mitchell Brandtman will continue to operate under its established brand and leadership, preserving the specialist expertise, client relationships and market reputation that have underpinned its success.
The acquisition further strengthens HTW’s position as one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing independent property professional services platforms, with an increasingly diverse range of capabilities supporting clients across the entire property lifecycle.
