Herron Todd White has unveiled Australia’s largest graduate program designed for property valuation professionals, with the new HTW Academy Graduate Program designed to develop the next generation of property valuation and advisory professionals.
With three intakes per year, the national program introduces graduates into the business as Valuation Analysts, providing structured mentoring, rotational industry experience and a supported pathway to become a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV), the official accreditation of valuers through the Australian Property Institute.
Herron Todd White CEO Peter Maloney said the launch of the HTW Academy Graduate Program represents the firm’s long-term commitment to developing the next generation of valuation professionals.
“For more than 58 years, Herron Todd White has helped develop and mentor property professionals across Australia, and the HTW Academy builds on that legacy through a structured national graduate program,” Mr Maloney said.
“At Herron Todd White, we are training the valuation professionals of tomorrow by combining traditional property expertise and real-world field experience with advanced data, analytics and technology.”
The HTW Academy welcomes applications three times a year across all valuation specialities, from residential and commercial through to agribusiness and specialised property sectors, providing graduates with exposure across real-world valuation assignments, national mentoring networks and emerging industry technologies from day one.
Lynsey Devitt, Chief People and Culture Officer at Herron Todd White, said the Academy reflects HTW’s broader transformation into a technology-enabled property insights business, with graduates gaining exposure to the latest valuation technologies, analytics platforms and digital tools developed by the firm.
“The profession is evolving rapidly as data, analytics and technology become increasingly integrated into property decision-making and the way our people work,” Ms Devitt said.
“The rotational structure of the HTW Academy is designed to give graduates exposure across multiple property sectors while also leveraging the latest technology platforms and digital capabilities being developed within HTW.”
“Graduates entering the business today will not only learn traditional valuation fundamentals, but also how technology and data can enhance client outcomes, efficiency and property intelligence.”
Applicants must hold, or be working towards completing, an API-accredited property degree and will undertake structured development designed to combine technical valuation expertise with emerging analytical and digital capability.
With a national footprint spanning every postcode in Australia, the program is expected to support workforce development across metropolitan, regional and specialised property markets.
The CEO of peak industry body the Australian Property Institute John Winter said the valuation profession continues to play a critical role across Australia’s property and financial sectors, making investment in future talent increasingly important.
“The valuation profession underpins lending, infrastructure, development and investment decisions across Australia, making programs like the HTW Academy incredibly important for the future of the industry,” Mr Winter said.
“For 58 years, Herron Todd White has made a significant contribution to the property profession and the development of valuation professionals across Australia.”
“It is encouraging to see continued investment into structured graduate pathways that combine professional expertise, mentoring and evolving technology capabilities, helping ensure the profession continues to grow and evolve for the future.”
Applications for the HTW Academy Graduate Program are now open.
